IMO: Russia isn't even using 1/10th of it's military in Ukraine, their best equipment has been conducting war games 2000 miles away. Russia made it clear when they entered Ukraine that they were helping the people of Eastern Ukraine, who legally seceded from Ukraine btw. Nato should be cautious.

If they are just playing around by using 10% of their military and their 2nd rate equipment... perhaps they should stop playing around. As the bodies continue to come home... Russian families might get upset.

I understand that the people of Eastern Ukraine were being attacked and abused by their own government, and that many citizens of predominantly Russian ethnicity Eastern Ukraine welcomed Russian troops to come in and stabilize the situation, provide security and possibly to annex those regions.
However, there are several indisputable facts.
As of July 21st, (according to the Pentagon) Russia has had 15,000 troops killed and about 40,000 wounded. By now, the figures are much higher although it's open to speculation. Russia has at least 25,000 casualties to date and over 50,000 severely wounded. The exact #'s are not available to any source. However, suffice it to say that is a LOT of dead Russian soldiers.
Russia has NOT declared war yet in Ukraine. However, your suggestion that Russia is fighting using only 10% of their strength and not their best equipment is not accurate.

Yet Ukraine really hasn't put a dent in Russia and has had to surrender all over the map.
Ukraine is still breathing because Russia is holding those two regions as they planned.
I do believe the 50k body count is Ukraine killing mostly there own civilians. So if that's what you mean then ok.
You’re figures are way out. Ukraine entered the fight with around 360,000 including around 100,000 mercenaries. Around 250,000 have been killed or wounded, never to be returned to the battlefield.
