While that's true (depravity of man, etc.), we should technically still represent "pure good".
(I put "pure good" in quotes because I can't think of a precise meaning for it, and I can't think of a single reference to it in the bible or in theological texts.)
Look above. Repeated for convenience.
Not sure how this comment relates to my comment. Do Christians not represent God? If God is good, then the statement that we represent good is true.
We represent God, though imperfectly. No one but Jesus was able to rise to the standard of sinless perfection.
I think people, esp Christians as myself, don’t rely on the word “good”. Good won’t get you into Heaven. Being a good person won’t. It requires accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. And following through with works through faith in Him. Of course good comes out of that, ideally. Just remember a Christian shouldn’t do works “for”salvation...they do works “because” of salvation. And salvation is being in a relationship with Jesus.

Please forgive me. Thought you were looking for a scriptural reference.
No worries! Just a miscommunication.
Do you know if there are any references to "pure good" though? There are quite a few using just "good," but the "pure" part was what I was hesitant about.
