I believe I have this captured somewhere. About 2-3 years ago someone did an extensive study of this, attempting to account for guns before NICS and underground arms provided by our govt / CIA / FBI to cartels and gangs. It was a long read, I recall that. Anyway, I never forgot it, because this person reached the conclusion of 600M - 750M range. Which AT THE TIME was more than double the govt estimate - which we all know are lying sacks of shit, so should be expected to be more than 50% wrong. Anyway, for what it's worth. If I can find it this weekend I'll sent your ways.
In other places like Canada they have 1 out of 4 Canadians owning guns. This is 0.25 guns per individual. How does anyone should a quarter of a gun? π€ π
Well that wasn't much of an article, a few short paragraphs with no cited statistics or sources. So the author thinks there are 415 million guns in America? Haha... you MIGHT get that number if you go by registered guns and number of background checks, etc., but there is a hefty and brisk sale of guns in several states, private sales, inherited guns, and such that no one really knows the number.
I'd be willing to bet the number is closer to a billion guns, and with a few trillion rounds of ammo in private safes and collections. And I find that number reassuring. I am all for an armed America. An armed society is a polite society.
Way more than that. Over a billion easy.
I believe this number to be much higher than reported. π

Yes, because Chicago+gun control= 762 murders every year.
It's the right idea. Every law abiding citizen should own at least 3 guns or more.

That we know of ...
Which the government will have to pry out of our cold dead hands and over our dead bodies!πΊπΈ

We gotta pump up those numbers.
That means 2 guns in every house! Lot better than 2 cars in a garage!
Yeah and remember that half of us are insane. Roughly half, at least 81 million if you believe biden's numbers.
