Unfortunately some really great conservatives are in that bunch too. I have friends that have married Ukrainians & they are clearly in two camps. Either Putin is the Savior of their families back home, or Putin is horrible & destroying their old churches & towns.
There hasn't been any middle ground in their opinions from my limited discussions.
That said, my US citizen friends who have lived in the US for over 25+ years have a hard time trusting Putin because Russia was so atrocious to live in during the cold War Era.
I trust Putin more than Zelensky, though Putin was an amazing infowar/psyop guy before he became president IIRC.
Proving to your Ukranian friends that the Azov Battalion bombed their own cities (other than Putin's strategic targets) and then blamed Putin may turn their opinions around.
Also, do you think there is a possibility that Putin was replaced about 10 years ago? I would have never entertained that idea in the past...but these days, it is at least worth asking. His behavior and concepts changed for the better, right? Or, maybe the media had always portrayed him incorrectly, and he is the same now as then.
I am 40% decided that Biden isn't Biden. I am 80% sure Hillary has doubles. (They are different heights, even.) Doubles have been around for centuries.. only now we have better technology for masks and CGI.
Putin being replaced would be an interesting turn of events, though I consistently see a narrative is spun in our media to give globalists/federal government more power.
If putin was espousing the similar messages in the 90s-today, if it didn't benefit those trying to centralize power, then it would not be broadcast to us IMO.
Won't normies dismiss it no matter what if it's from Russia?
4-6% i'm guessing. I happen to know a few..

“Proving to your Ukranian friends that the Azov Battalion bombed their own cities”
I believe this 100% likely happened, but what’s the proof that can be shown to a normie?
