The states on the receiving end of these migrations need to be very very careful.
A lot of this will be locusts. They've eaten their own land to oblivion, voting for every feel good thing that requires new taxes because they care so much, etc and so on, and now they'll alight in a new land and start feeding their guts with feel goods all over again.

There's always, or at least often, good mixed in the bad in any movement of humans for whatever reasons. It's part of the problem of humans not being properly hive mind creatures, no matter how hard the left tries to pretend we are.

There were two at my niece’s birthday party last weekend. I wanted to say something, but I know I can come off a bit much in certain social situations and didn’t want to ruin her birthday, or my brother-in-law’s standing with people his kid goes to school with.
That said, I did mention that Florida has a way of doing things unlike New York that has people flocking here, and we would prefer it not become like other places. I think the implication was understood, but that was as polite a way as I could think to say it.

Actually know someone from NY who would never vote Dems. He was trying to relocate but his company is entrenched in NY. Wonderful guy. Ex Marines. Went to hide out in Arkansas during the pandemic because of stupid mandates he couldn't obey. He would not obey the mask mandate or vaccination card mandate.
I'm relatively sure the overwhelming majority of these people are conservative or conservative leaning and moving somewhere they feel they'll be more welcome. I'm not saying it's a 100% and there's NO "locusts" as people are calling them. That's dumb to even suggest. But pretty much every metric available tends to lend credence to the fact that when people move states, they move to a state that aligns with their political view by a margin of 85-90%. Hence, conservatives tend to move to Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Idaho, etc. and Liberals tend to move to Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and the various smaller New England States.
It's never 100% one way or the other, but the overwhelming majority are more likely than not on our general side. So I wouldn't worry too much. I'd be more worried about potential fraud and cheating by the local leftists.

Florida housing prices have skyrocketed. A friend moved there and bought a 3/2 ranch for a million bucks +. Taxes and everything else will hurt the locals.
