This picture makes me sad though, because you can see the tower on Notre Dame, and the fact that it's gone now and Macron is planning to turn the church's roof into some ugly metal and glass thing with "gardens" to make it "eco-friendly" makes me feel sick.
I was incredibly lucky to see the church more than ten years ago when it was still in it's original state. We'll probably never see it like that again. The fire was NOT an accident.
Same here, fren. Did you take the tour up to the bell towers and roof? Funny thing is, when I was inside the bell towers and saw all of the huge wooden beams that were inside, I thought at the time this would be quite a fire hazard, given the age of the wood. Who knew then what would later happen to it? I took lots of photos while I was up there -- so glad I did!
They should restore everything to appear as it did, IMHO.
No I didn't get to go up the bell towers, I think they might have been under repair at that time too if I recall correctly, I remember scaffolds up inside the main part of the church too. But I definitely took lots of pictures, including the Rose windows. Glad I did.
I just tried to look up any info on the restoration, and I honestly can't tell what they're planning to do with the spire restoration. There doesn't seem to be a lot of recent info on it, it's all from 2019 or 2020, but I seem to recall Macron saying this year or last that they were going to "update" the spire into that metal and glass thing but now I can't find proof of that anywhere. So really I have no idea what they're doing, other than that they'll have it finished before the 2024 Olympics.
If they haven't started on the renovations by now, then it'll never be done by 2024. Gee, what do you suppose happened to all the money that was donated to repair it? 🙄
I know that they at least cleaned up and reinforced the main structure of the church, but on the actual renovation of the roof and spire I have no idea.
"At this place, Jacques DeMolay, last grand master of the Order of the Temple was burnt, March 18, 1314"
The above event occurred on the point of the island where you see all of the trees.
"At dawn on Friday, 13 October 1307—a date sometimes incorrectly cited as the origin of the popular stories about Friday the 13th[32][33]—King Philip IV ordered de Molay and scores of other French Templars to be simultaneously arrested."
Templars were taken out because King Phillip owed them money - LOTS of money. Pope authorized Phillip taking them out and provided the heresy cover to do so so church could take over Templar central banking system. This was one leg of the medieval cabal (Catholic church) taking over another leg of medieval cabal (Templar banking system).
That’s the mainstream story. Perhaps they got their ill gotten gains by mere usuary but I believe there is more to the story.
I’m more interested in the “black Madonna” they worshipped in secret (ISIS) or the Baphomet transgender goat they were accused of worshipping.
Or the accusations of ritual sodomy.
Isn’t it interesting that the things they were accused of, 7 centuries later, has become widely accepted & even enforced? The parallels are interesting to say the least.
I'm not in dispute with any of those things inre the Templars. Templars were one part of the cabal, Catholic church was another. Templar's had a banking system that the Catholic church wanted and the Catholic church had better optics than the Templars. That's why I said it was one part of the cabal taking over another part of the cabal.
I would disagree. The Templars eventually became the Gnostic Freemasons, who in turn ran BLM style cultural revolutions across Catholic Europe, beginning with the French Revolution.
In Arch Bishop Vigano’s letter to Trump (Q drop), the good Arch Bishop mentions “Solve Coagula” that is famously tattoo’d on the Baphomet’s arm.
This battle between Christian society vs. Pagan society goes centuries back.
Listen, I'm not calling all Catholics cabal, most are not, obviously - simply stating that there are cabal elements within the church hierarchy and they use that as cover for their cabal activities - like taking over a banking system, for example. Agree to disagree.
Bella Dodd Testimony to Congress really cleared things up. Much like American Govt, there is a powerful fifth collumn that’s taken over.
I get why people are turned off by the RCC… I GET IT, trust me. The answer isn’t to destroy our institutions, it’s to highlight the infiltration. That’s my objective.
Yes and no. It was a false premise that was used as an excuse. Catholic teachings consider ALL non Catholic religions as false. In other words, only one "true" religion, that being the Catholic church. What did Christ say about church and debt? Mathew 18:20-27
20For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them.”
21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
22Jesus answered, “I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy-seven times!e
23Because of this, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24As he began the settlements, a debtor was brought to him owing ten thousand talents.f 25Since the man was unable to pay, the master ordered that he be sold to pay his debt, along with his wife and children and everything he owned.
26Then the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Have patience with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’
27His master had compassion on him, forgave his debt, and released him.
Kind of the opposite of "Only one church" and how we are to treat debtors
Walt Disney was a Demolay Freemason & later, a 33rd degree Freemason. Disney produced “the Davinchi Code” and portrayed Demolay & Freemasons as “misunderstood good guys, evil Catholics”. Tom hanks, Satanism, movie that excuses away acts of child pedophilia & Satanism.
It’s history they would rather you forget. Don’t let them.
The Cathars were Christian Gnostics. The Roman Catholic cult murdered them too — hundreds of thousands of them. Maybe Rome doesn’t like others knowing the truth?
Read the gnostic manuscripts for yourself. First, there was no singular belief among them, other than an unwillingness to submit their individual beliefs to a Church-State (Rome).
Well, seeing that there were Jewish & Greek Gnostics, seeing that they didn’t want to submit to Rome but continue to Idol worship their animal dieties (Ophites worshipped snakes, Templars worshipped the black Madonna (Isis) & Baphomet, the transgender god), as a Christian, I’m happy that Rome refused to infuse Christianity with the Gnostic’s pagan world view. I suspect that the war between Christianity & Paganism has been going on for two millennia.
I’d say that Rome & the seat of Peter is currently occupied by a Gnostic sect. Have you seen that snake auditorium? It’s reminds me of the Ophites snake worshippers.
I hope President Trump makes America great again. I hope Arch Bishop Vigano makes the Vatican Catholic again.
If that all is true, then you are sure right!! My understanding of the Cathars at least was that they were a " leave me alone and let me do my own thing" kind of peoples where working and producing things was the best way to honor God (the word "cathartic" comes from them) and that we have no way of knowing what the Church is peddling to be true but that it does not matter at the end of the day. Cannot have those free thinkers around to possibly prevent some tithing and mind control.
Possibly… I don’t have any way of verifying the going ons of the day. It’s worth noting that Satanism & child sacrifice was a legitimate threat to Christian society, even that far back!
I bring this up, to highlight the fact that this war between Christians & Pagans is centuries old. This is but a blip in a millennia’s long war between civilizations.

So then u/Truthseeker84 's comment below would be premised on the heresy cover?

And it was a Friday the 13th
As a Catholic & anti-Mason… it puts a smile on my face.

Gnostics worshipped a snake (research Ophites). Perhaps Catholics wanted to keep Europe Christian & didn’t want to blend it with Paganism.
In hindsight, the Freemason Gnostic Templars worshipped a idol called Baphomet, they peed on the crucifix & performed ritual sodomy.
I don’t think the Catholics did anything wrong…
