Probably has the old transponder or none at all.
Thnx
Probably either a restoration job taken out for a test flight, Connected to an Airshow, or one of the places that offers rides in historic planes to Veterans and the general public.
Likely doesn’t have anything capable of connecting to modern flight trackers on board if it’s a full on restoration job.
It is generally bad luck to view the belly of a heavy bomber as it passes overhead.
I had an interesting exchange with a senior engineer at Boeing, where we all honored and praised the venerable B-17 as a matter of course. "Unlike everyone else, I don't have a good opinion of the B-17." Oh, really? "Yes. I saw too many of them in action...from underneath." He was a German immigrant and, as a boy, suffered allied bombardment during World War 2.
Probably operating under vfr 1200
It could be one of these planes.

I love the sound of those engines.
It's what caught my attention and had me bailing out of the house in my underwear. Took a video recording as well.
The B-24 might be participating in the Nuclear Drills going on in the U.K. and over the North Sea this week.
In that case, having a transponder on would defeat the purpose.
A B-24 is a relic from WW2. Supposing it’s true. Why would it be participating in a Nuclear Drill?
Maybe trying for the element of surprise lol
