Tbh that was the federal government. The woman in the video is the premier of Alberta, which is essentially the equivalent of a governor. She’s made a bunch of statements expressing her disagreement with covid policies.
No, it wasn't the federal gov. The government will tell you it has no power to do so over the banks, and it was the banks themselves that took this action. The government simply provided a list and a suggestion. This is how they intend to get away with it.
I am fairly certain that none of the emergency act powers were ever even used.
But I could be wrong, so please offer a counter opinion.
If you’re talking about the accounts / funds seized during the freedom convoy, that was indeed financial institutions acting at the behest of the federal government, an action That was authorized by the emergencies act.
The act was being debated in the senate and it was looking like it would not pass, so the federal government suspended the act before it could be formally rejected.
I have no doubt that the feds will claim as you have said, that they merely provided a suggestion to the institutions, though the actions themselves would have been an absolute violation, had the institutions just up and decided to do this without the oversight and blessings of the feds.
Furthermore, none has anything to do with the newly elected premier of Alberta - the woman speaking in the video.
To be clear I am talking about banks like TD and RBC, not gofundme or whatever. I am fairly certain that the government recommended the action and provided info in the form of lists of names, but they didn't have legal standing to force the freeze, they could only ask for it. This was my understanding. It was the government trying to absolve itself of responsibility and throw the banks under the bus. Basically downloading responsibility.
That’s like giving someone a gun, giving them a target, a time, and a place, and then afterwards claiming you’re not complicit in the murder.
Or the feds in the US approaching social media companies to censor users, and then claiming it wasn’t a violation of the first amendment because the actions were taken by a private company.
TD would not have dreamed to take those actions on their own. It was 100% an act of government. No amount of semantics will refute that.
Several provinces / territories, including Alberta (the province where the woman speaking in the video is premier), Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon have stated that they’ll refuse to enforce the new federal firearms policies.
If we were to liken this to US politics, Trudeau (Biden) is the national leader who banned hand gun sales.
Danielle Smith (DeSantis) just took over as premier (governor) of Alberta the other week, replacing the former RINO premier. She’s speaking out against the mandates and gun bans, and is threatening to make Alberta the equivalent to a sanctuary state.
I mean what start ? We tried to ruin and destroy you based on fear and drama and ooooopsie we found out everything was a lie. Sooooooorrry. Btw you can’t buy a gun
She just took power last week. She personally has nothing to apologize for, but is saying it on behalf of the government. It’s a great sign that Alberta won’t be pushed into another round of lockup’s this year.
How does a NAZI get away with “I’m sorry”? They had zero remorse for seizing bank accounts, taking fuel away from truckers, making it illegal to wave at truckers, seizing money donated to truckers, forcing people to get vaccinated to have a job, go to a grocery store, or run a business
I would accept “I am sorry” only if it was followed by a hanging within seconds
How about turning off her bank account, seizing her assets and firing her from her government position and stripping of all benefits. That would be a good start and the very least that should be done to every single person who pushed the vaccine through coercion or threat.
The woman in the video literally had nothing to do with the mandates. She was only recently elected as the premier of a province (Alberta) and has spoken out against the mandates, and been criticized for it, on several occasions.
Well if you don't want them to attempt this nonsense again then some serious repercussions must come their way or else they will feel no remorse and rinse wash and repeat killing you and your family while taxing you to death for daring to be a successful member of society.
They'll never come back to stopping access to bank accounts.

Agreed. Makes the apology worth less too IMO. Now if the AHS leader apologized, that would be something...

Couldn’t have said it better
But what's with the banning of handguns in Canada? Still have a long way to go to be free!

“Just following orders” let’s see how that works out.
SHE IS THE BEST!
➰😵👻

Ah ok fair enough

Cool. Now apply it to those that actually did that
How about we advocate for justice instead of revenge?

Are you unfamiliar with the word justice?
Why should she resign? She’s one of the only politicians that has been speaking out.
