One wonders about that narrative when it comes from the US MSM. The usual suspects tell this narrative. They don't say shit about actual slave markets in Libya, but we hear all sorts of talking points from both parties about the poor Uyghurs.

What I remember is that prior to the "enslaving," Uyghurs used to like to pick up machetes and carve up Han Chinese on their morning commutes. They'd show up at train stations and start butchering people. Dozens should end up dead, dozens more maimed or horribly disfigured from the attacks - just folks trying to go to work. The CCP solved the problem.

What's actually going on over there? I don't know. I don't have a reliable source that I'm willing to stand on. Chinese state media's full of shit and so is ours. And even the social media is unreliable. You have to trust the translations, and understand just how difficult it is to get damaging information like that out of China without facing consequences. People shut up about things damaging to the CCP or get "disappeared." We saw this in Hong Kong. So, frankly, I just don't know, other than that the jihad against the Han Chinese seems to be over.
