Iodine tablets or drops I believe is the best antidote for radiation poisoning. PhysicsFags or ChemFags will know for sure as that is not my area of expertise.

It's not so much an antidote as a blocker. By maxing out one's intake of regular iodine, the body is less inclined to uptake any radioactive iodine. A radioactive isotope of iodine is produced in nuclear detonations----but if they are just scattering radioactive isotopes, there is no guarantee of what they are. Radioactive strontium is another bad actor; it wants to substitute for calcium. So keep up on your calcium and magnesium.
