The most awful thing I heard yesterday was from a little 7 year old in the neighborhood walking with her mom and twin brothers that they were on their way to get their flu shot and that she "already had 3 COVID shots". I was in shock and couldn't even speak after that.
Imagine those poor kids (so small and tiny) getting all those shots.
I laughed out loud when I pulled into the Kroger parking lot a few weeks ago to see that their signs all over the lot are advertising the "Flu Vaccine" this year instead of the typical "Shot". Do they actually think that is going to sell more??? The shots are a huge part of their revenue expectations so I hope this tanks the entire corporation. Let's go back to local markets that are separate from the Medical Industrial Complex.
I think that is a very wise approach. We shoot ourselves in the foot by attempting too much too quickly. Simple common sense things like this exposing the reasoning behind things being pushed on us is good for loosening the edges before we whip the blanket off.
Many people who used to get the annual Flu Shot... will likely never have a flu shot again... ever! The trust is broken.
Up until Covid, I used to get the Flu Shot nearly every year. Since 2020, I haven't had a Flu Shot and never will again.
I would bet that over 20 Million Americans who used to get the Flu Shot annually... choose not to. There is ZERO trust remaining.
