It would make up for all the time they sat at home getting stoned and watching cartoons.
Love the twitterati,I might steal that
Consider it stolenπ€£
He might consider filing a police report.
Thatβs stupid, and fits very well for people I know who have worked for / with Musk.
Heβs not a good guy, yβall.
Follow me on this for a moment: you are a young man who just graduated. College is just as many or more hours. The opportunity to in your first job out can give you a giant nest egg. It leads to the middle class. To have enough money to buy a house and support your stay at home wife with the kids. Most middle management people are fucking assholes and treat pay raises like it is their own money. Being able to work my hours bypasses middle management hold on your life.
If these people focused on getting things done and not touring the campus they would not have to work those hours.
Most people in IT dont have someone breathing down their neck to keep up with productivity demands like manufacturing or in the trades. 84 hours is a lot, but from what I can tell they still wont get much done. Its not a hard working culture there. Maybe thats the reason for the 12x7 work week.
This is all sus...
Per federal labor laws, you cannot be compelled (forced) to work more than 40 hours per week. Unless you are hired as a salaried employee, which comes with its own set of rules as to who qualifies as such. Either way, if you are salaried and required to work longer hours, or a wage slave and volunteer to work, they MUST pay you overtime.
And if you are a California resident, the state laws are even more in your favor.
I know this because I initiated and subsequently won a class action suit against a former employer for these violations.
Yep. I have a hard time believing they didn't go over this with a fine tooth comb. The news is slanting all reporting right now to paint the most negative picture possible. Lawsuits, work hours, etc. For instance, I have been looking all day to find what the severance package is. Can't find anything. My guess is they got more than two weeks - probably a couple of months, depending upon DOH with benefits paid. And to report that when people have gotten screwed over the last three years would not garner a whole lot of sympathy for the lawsuits.
In one of the "You're Fired!" emails it says something about being paid until February. Don't know if all terminated twatters had this deal based on one email, but it's not above reason to assume most did.
I donβt think unusual whales is a trustworthy source.
I've never heard of them, so I really don't know.
But then again, nothing on TV or printed on paper is much of a reliable source these days either.
