I’ve noticed one organization taking organic memes and adding their obnoxious logo across the bottom and stopping the meme from going viral. I would tend to agree that those memes seeking credit should be few and far between.
Some people just want to be a part of the forum and make a contribution. They may not be able to search out the information others can so they post with memes. I don't see anything wrong with it and just as Iceman80 posted Q disagrees.
I agree, as another has said, just block them. I only have so much time and repeating memes that have been posted several times already, only wastes my time. Sort of like posters who see some new "boom" in the news and we end up seeing ten posts announcing it here, sometimes they all show up on the same page ! Seems like there are some folks who don't actually read the board, just post as much as they can as fast as they can?

Low Quality memes can dilute in theory but voting by people adjusts for that.
I used to make 400 fresh unique-exclusive memes for scored, and post 900 in a 7 month duration and I was one of the most popular posters AND commenter ever.
I’m cool with memes as they are definitely valuable tools, but repeated spamming of things that are of little to no value gets a block as it is just clutter to me. Only suggesting this as an option for those of us that have been down the rabbit hole a little longer and come here multiple times a day for the latest.
Seems like the bigger issue is people posting before checking if it's already on here. All they have to do is sort by new. Helluva lot of repeats.
I get pretty hardass about it but it's hard. People just do it. I hand out a 1d vacation a couple times a day on average for /NEW abuse.
