Did you not hear the stat that each drug dealer, on average, is responsible for 500 people dying? Doesn't someone who is responsible for the death of 500 people deserve the death penalty? Wouldn't someone who is responsible for 50 people dying deserve the death penalty? Even 10 people would be enough. I've always felt sympathy for addicts, but have no sympathy for the dealers.
But the pushers are taking advantage of the depravity of the addicts, which is much worse, and, if it weren't for the pushers, there wouldn't be so many overdose deaths. Where would addicts get their drugs if there were no pushers?
They'd find a way, trust me lol. Just as an example: let's say all the drug dealers disappeared one day, users could simply start making their own or find legal highs. Benzedrex inhalers are already popular amongst meth and former meth users, Imodium AD for opiate users, hallucinogen users can grow their own spores or just buy morning glory flower seeds.
I know that isn't necessarily your point but I'm just saying that certain types of people will always try to find a way to instantly change how they feel inside.
I understand that that would happen, but the drug dealers are like child porn purveyors. It's one thing to be some sick child porn watcher, but those makers of child porn are not only hurting the children, they are promoting the viewing of it, and in doing so, allowing more people to view it, and likely increasing the number of people who watch it. The old "the first hit is free" adage associated with heroin dealers has a lot of truth to it.

No, the person buying the drugs and taking the drugs is responsible.
