He setup a poll tweet to flush out the bots. New bots can't come in but, the ones remaining are hard to flush out. So he setup this little poll to do just that. Pure genius.

The way it was explained to me was that when bots are setup its from usually one IP address in batches of a 100 to 1000 and when the controller of these bots vote in a poll, all of them vote at the same time using the same ip address.
I hope they don't all show up in the lunchroom at the same time!

Proxy IPs are easily detected.
For sure especially when there is lists of them on the internet, well I remember back in the yahoo days 20 years back when cracking good usernames that was the case. not sure why someone down voted but ok.

Hasn't he also used polls in other ways... that would get people comfortable with his form of democracy. He also just brought some people back after bans which would make him appear to be willing to give people second chances...
Remember free speech is not just speech you like, it's also speech you don't like. I DO NOT like Kathy Griffith but, I like that a dissenting voice was able to return. Even though I don't want her to be back I understand this is how free speech works. I cannot stress how much I wish she would go away. But you take the good with the bad. This is how freedom works.
