I love GAW and we get lots of news daily. We are really up to date regarding current events and real news. However, most of the times I am unable to enlighten my family, friends, or colleagues. Most of the articles presented here are from sites, my circle of interest would just dismiss as "right wing conspiracy" or "fake news". When they google the topic, the first hits they get are from the fact checkers, and they are confirmed even more.
I'm not saying the good posters should stop posting - on the contrary. I would like to make a suggestion to all here. When posting on a subject, at least try to also find something mainstream that can corroborate the news. I know lots of big topics have been covered to our advantage by the mockingbird media like Newsweek or NYT. It might not be the first day, but eventually there is going to be some golden nuggets from so called "reputable" sites that we can use to red pill our surroundings,
The latest example for me was the information that the G20 members have signed on to using digital vaccine passports. I can never use sites like Zero Hedge, Natural News or The Gateway Pundit to red pill my friends, so I tried to find something that they would not just dismiss. I was unsuccessful with google (duh!), so I tried Yandex, where I found this little gem:
We acknowledge the importance of shared technical standards and verification methods, under the framework of the IHR (2005), to facilitate seamless international travel, interoperability, and recognizing digital solutions and non-digital solutions, including proof of vaccinations. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/11/16/g20-bali-leaders-declaration/
This, they cannot just dismiss.
Am I making any sense here? I would really like each and everyone of us to at least give it a few minutes to try and find an extra link to a site, our normies cannot outright dismiss.
If we don't try, then we are just preaching to the choir here...
PS: Not sure how this fits with the timezone of my US/CA frens, so I might repeat this post in 12 hours or so...
Edit: It doesn't have to be OP that does the extra work, it could be someone else. All it takes is to post a supporting link on OP's post. If OP has time, he/she could include it in the post, so it is easier found. Remember, this should be teamwork...
I think you are putting too much on the original poster since the approved sources are usually a day or so behind our sources. We aren't going to keep doubling back to update, we are on to the next current news. I get your point but I think it's the responsibility of those who have normies they want to convince to do the further research to find the kind of sources you mention. Or, better, to ask your normies questions that will make them want to look in their sources for verification. I personally am not trying to convince anyone, the truth speaks for itself. Original transcripts of speeches and news releases from agencies is as good as it's going to get.
I understand that it can be a burden, but all I'm asking is to make an effort to help out our community. It doesn't even have to be OP that does some extra research, it could be someone else, and all it takes is to drop a link on the original post.
And yes, I forgot to mention it specifically. Original transcripts speaks for themselves. Even if they are linked to in the article, perhaps also drop a link in the post here?
Thank you!
I go a different way with it. I tell the truth in such a logical way that their illogic falls apart. They can go find their own sources, but I am generally believed.
That is great, if that works for you. I just don't think everyone are in that position, so I reiterate, this is a team effort.
I understand. I just don't think there are any mainstream Normie News that are telling the truth.
It could also be a link to the real source. For example, a .gov site is normally not dismissed as fake. All I really ask, is that it also be linked here ...
I'll keep that in mind when I post in the future.
All you need to do is take an article from say zero hedge and look inside to see what their sources are. If you follow it back to the primary source and it happens to be a good quality source you will see them linking to court documents etc.
Personally I never forward any article directly working looking for the primary sources.
And just don't wait for people to post an msm link for this. If that's happening then it means we are already Awakening phase
Exactly, that is all we have to do. I just think it would help everyone here, if it was linked in OP's post as well. Like I said here, it doesn't necessarily have to be the OP doing the research...
I highly encourage Anons to add a comment to link posts with this kind of dig, along with a summary. Its a collaborative effort. Some anons are good at collecting interesting articles, some are good at digging into the articles and extracting pearls, and others are good at converting these pearls into memes, while yet others take these memes to the cannons on the normieland.
Yes. It should be YOU!
Good luck with that, last week I had a normie actually call CNN fake news because I shared a CNN article that said that the missile that hit Poland came from Ukraine not Russia.
But that sounds good, you can then always bring that up if they call one of "our" news sites fake...
Thanks!
I spent some time today reading MSM and watching some current music videos and I feel like I need to be re-baptized to be cleansed of the worldy evil.
We all have to make sacrifices... :)
Totally agree and something I have been trying to do for months with family who all dismiss my “sources” as fringe sites. Whenever I read a topic I want to pass on, I will spend quite a bit of time on multiple search engines to find something on a site they cannot dispute. That is how we continue to wake up more people.
Thanks, and all I really ask, is that we could help each other out here. It doesn't have to be only OP...
Yes, I know, but all I'm saying is we should attempt to bring the fight over on their turf, so they can't just point fingers and move along.
I know this is not fool proof, but I feel we have got to try all means possible.
I think it is a good idea, when possible. Sometimes the Fake News doesn't have anything yet, or isn't covering it at all. Also, some of our citizen journalists are often moving fast to get the information up on the site. However, when it is possible, it is a great idea. "Normie links."
Here's a suggestion. YOU do the work you're asking others to do.
Lead by example.
If you read ny post, you would notice I included a normies link.
Why are you misinterpreting me? I did not say others, I said we all.
Sheesh, why the negativity?
I won't work. My coworker is beholden to His belief of the truth. His bubble will not be pierced. Example, he only listens to information that he agrees to. Presenting a different view or idea he says is a conspiracy and he immediately discards any deviation to the contrary. He is 100% in believing that the pharmacy industry miraculously were developing the cure to Covid. Everyone else is lying, end of story. Time will tell, I just watch as his wife's and his health continue to worsen.
This is a good idea. In real life however normies will dismiss it as right wing propaganda no matter what site you link to. They will make something up on the spot to keep their ignorance unchallenged.
