I would argue that after world war 2, for all practical purposes reality became classified.

Yes. WWII was the vehicle for massive social change by permanently removing millions of our bravest and strongest men (fathers) from our culture, with many millions more returning mentally destroyed and incapable of fathering. The 1960s and beyond are the fruit thereof ...
