My point is... we've heard about all this impending doom for a while now. If it happens, I've been prepared for the worst for a while now. Bring it on or not. At this point, things happen or they don't.

Elephants have poor digestion so there are lots of nuts and things in their feces, so some tribes in rough times will go through the feces and eat the nuts.
This poor digestion of nuts and beans has created what I have read are the finest coffee beans on earth where elephants are fed a bunch of coffee beans on a mostly empty stomach, then crap out the beans. A cup of this coffee can go for over a hundred dollars.

Nutritionally poor though. All they have is fat stores, but aren't getting the proteins, vitamins, minerals, and essential components of the diet. You could drink Coke every day and still end up with scurvy while being fat as a cow.
The only reason the modern poor person looks fat is high fructose corn syrup. Because it is so cheap, it's in all of the processed foods. If you go to a food bank or utilize SNAP benefits to shop at convenience stores like many people do, all you end up buying is high fructose corn syrup. Tastes good, makes you fat, but it's nutritionally void. There's a reason we call it junk food.
Seed oils...all prepared food..ready meals use seed oils...they cause diabetes heart and cancers. The body can't process it and lays it down as fat...also fluoride from the scrubbers of the aluminium phosphate industries..neurotoxin in food and drink..causes cancer quicker than any other chemical ...how do you think people can get any goodness even if they eat some good food.. digestive system and immune system shot to hell.

Idk, I just grabbed chicken breast for $1.10/lb - fresh boneless skinless. Saw NY strips for $6.99/lb. Things are coming down dramatically in my neck of the woods.

I just saw the same in SE Michigan yesterday. Finally bought a spiral ham at a reasonable price. They were running 50-70 bucks. 23 for the same weight as last year.
I shop at a mid-size independent and do not give kroger or walmart money.

Thanks, Frankie. We've been getting prepared for a while. Happy we did because prices are already crazy. Start farming ( an aquaponics system can be set up pretty easily in most places), buy fishing equipment - you can find it cheap on craigslist or even free by bartering.
Guaranteed to if everyone rushes out and buys extra now it will go up. Things I quit buying are dropping 30 percent
