To be fair the definition of god is an entity outside of our comprehension. If it were inside our comprehension then it would not be god.
So I never understood the traditional insistence that god is masculine. Some religions say that we are all god, in which case it would make sense for god to be a specific gender matching your own depending if you are male or female.
