But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. 1 Corinthians 14:3 NIV
Q got this one wrong. The Church is home to numerous prophets of the Lord Jesus.

Seen too many false prophets over the years.
The word prophet has been misunderstood. There has been no one to predict the future the way the prophets of old did. Beware of false prophets who will lead many to take the mark!
It has not. Scripture is clear, the gift of prophecy is a gift given to some members of the Church:
Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 NIV

Prophets speak today. Here is a clear sign of knowing them:
You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed. Deuteronomy 18:21-22 NIV

Q got this HUGELY wrong. Maybe they have a specific context um missing but the post was about there being No prophets and they are flat out wrong.
Name one prophet that predicted something that has come true since the death of Christ. 2000 years pass and all of a sudden in the last 100 years thousands claim to be prophets and have secret knowlege. We are living in the great deception, next comes a falling away then tribulation. If it is not found in the word of God it is not from God. A prophet is a preacher.
Julie Green is sounding very "Q" aware of late. Especially yesterday.
She even said nothing can stop what is coming, because God told her to.
Multiple messengers for multiple audiences, but same message.
I agree
How many are false Prophets have come an gone, they must be tested.
Even if the man's prophecies do come to pass, we must beware. God warns us, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (I John 4:1). We need to be watching for the fruits of God's Spirit in those who would claim to be His representatives.
There are definitely a number of ‘prophet fags’ on here.
“whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away” (1 Cor. 13:8). And as for the gift of healing, we read of a co-worker of Paul’s, Epaphroditus, who fell seriously ill during this time (Phil. 2:25-30) and Paul no longer had the gift of healing, and was no longer able to heal as he did only a few years earlier in Acts 28:9. The gifts of tongues, prophecy, etc. were no longer in operation by the time Paul wrote the pastoral epistles.
The sign gifts ceased at the end of the Book of Acts. WHY? 1 Corinthians 13:8-12—
“Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.”
Purpose of “sign gifts” were signs for God’s “sign people”. All these gifts of the spirit served a beneficial purpose that contributed to the numerical growth of the congregation but also resulted in its spiritual upbuilding
“Many will say to Me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them,
I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” (Matt. 7:22-23). https://www.bereanbiblesociety.org/when-did-the-gift-of-tongues-cease/
