What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
This is what happens at PT, they will give you some hot packs, maybe zap you with a device that uses low level electricity, (safe), and then they will show you the exercises and tell you do them at home. you can find the same exercises on line. Maybe go to one consult, and then do the exercises at home, you do not have to go every week, in my opinion, once you know what to do. The hot wet packs are nice, so is the "zapper' (I had it done for a really bad case of tendonitis on my achilles tendon) But after two visits for a shoulder issue and post surgical hip replacement, there was no need to go there, I knew what to do. As most with the medical "industry" in this country, they sign you up for a lot of visits and charge you for things you could be doing for yourself.
I’ve been to PT several times in my life. Most of the time I benefited from it. The PT is health reasons. Part water and land. My doctor wrote it for upper body strength training or how ever it’s written to build up muscle/strength. Other is a problem with hip and leg. I have two “zappers”🤣 at home so I don’t need that. I’ve got the style athletes use and it has heat. I’ve been waiting for the MRI approval for months. I think I’m going to try acupuncture for the hip. Last time I went to PT I went to an independent one woman PT & it was a great experience. Cost a lot but I truly needed it.
I bought an infrared whole body pad. It helps so much. I have sciatica and arthritis.
I’ve considered getting one. It’s hard to know what works. I can’t find legitimate reviews that aren’t advertising. I had a hot tub till it died. I really miss it. Helped so much!
