Fren, it’s considered poor etiquette to correct someone’s grammar or spelling. Emily Post teaches this in good manners. Even Marcus Aurelius’ teacher wrote about this over 19 centuries ago. Please stop doing that.
Book of Kekilonians, 5:12- Pepe did look upon is army & spoke "Ye that lack etiquette, I must too drop my elevation to increase your etiquette up to 40,000 ft. It flieth directly in the face of etiquite, and good frens doth love being elevated regardless."
🤣
I hope you laughed as hard as I am. Thank you for teaching us new things & seemingly having a light heart about it.
This does fascinate me. Can you point me in the right direction to learn more about the Aurelius education on that? These tangents in history fascinate me.
That said, How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnige goes into this a bit with his story about a guy who misquote the Bible. Essentially let people save face, and generally invite them to show you where you can learn more about what they are saying so that you can both be educated properly. This allows them to feel bigger about themselves for teaching you & also a soft invitation for when they make a mistake.
Some dude Greek something, nails me constantly for periods , comas , grammar , it’s like he waits to pounce , I don’t get that , and he’s rude about it ! I’m glad u spoke up, this seems so strange to me !

So it's considered good manners to allow someone to present themselves as illiterate without a friendly correction?
Doesn't sound very nice to me.
Lots of people are glad to have the opportunity to correct their grammar.... So fuck off....
I'm dyslexic and misspell constantly.i also don't care when people correct me. If it gives them joy in their shitty life let them have it.
I don't do it for "joy" and my life isn't at all shitty.... Just the occasional asshole intrusion, like you....
You present as a pleb.
And you present as an asshole....
#MeToo I enjoy learning from my errors 😁
Is it poor etiquette to point out somebody’s poor etiquette?
Asking for a fren 😉
Probably.
Yep-
🤣

Marcus Aurelius Meditations. In Book One he tells us what he learned from the important people in his life, one being Alexander the Grammarian.
Thank you. Sounds like a good set of books.
