Got it, thanks. I own two dreadnought guitars (Martin D-1 and a Gibson J-45) and thought you might be a musician. But the battleship reference works too.
What the kids need is to be rescued from an "educational" system and culture that is brainwashing them to question and/or reject the sex they were born with. This is a new thing in the history of mankind, which indicates it's not genetic. It's cultural.
Cases like this is point out the battle between those who claim "parents should have a right to do whatever they want to their own children" vs "the government should protect children from their parents". As a society, where do we draw that line?
And you see where the problem lies. Some would say the government has no business saying what a parent should do in regard to medical treatment, or non-treatment of their child, but what about care vs non-care? If a child is mal-nourished because the parents aren't feeding their child, should the government intervene? I think the answer is that there should never be a forced medical treatment or education of a child, or any non-life critical activity forced by the government, but if a parent is obviously neglecting a child, the government should intervene.
And then, who decides what constitutes neglect? Some leftist regime could say, "You aren't teaching your children that the state is to be worshipped, so you are neglecting your children"
It's child abuse, and any parents who try to change their kid's sex needs to be locked up. The whole gender dysphoria thing is a symptom of mental illness that needs to be addressed.
I know a 30ish-something who has this and she (despite wanting to be a "he") was sexually molested when she hit puberty. She knows that what happened to her is the thing causing her to hate being a woman, she just has yet to get any real help. Thankfully, she hasn't tried whacking body parts off and attaching other ones. She just dresses like a dude, keeps her hair cut short, and tapes down her chest.
What happened was that Hollyweird and the media turned a mental illness into a fad. And, young people being the sheep they are, thought it was cool to be able too design their own gender and fart all over reality so they feel special. So now it's a pandemic of insanity, one that evil parents are playing along with to virtue signal.
I couldn't agree more... My daughter who is now 14 came home one day and told me she wanted to cut her breasts off and I asked her why... It was because all the boys keep staring at them... I told her boys are like that at that age because of their raging hormones... She too has short hair dyed purple and dresses like a boy and she's bi as well... She told me she was non binary and told me her pronouns... I told her to shove her pronouns and that she was a girl... I support her as much as I can but mutilation of her body is where I drew the line... When she came to me and told me she liked girls, I replied with "well what do you know, so do I"... kek Her brother and his gf told her how wrong and disgusting it is blah blah blah and when I didn't let it faze me and accepted her feelings she was floored... I'm a single father raising a 14 year old daughter that has been through the ringer since her mom died in 2015... Parents need to be more involved in their children's lives instead of being too busy doing other nonsense.. Cheers fren...
For what it's worth, you're doing a good job as a single dad from where I stand. Not allowing her to deny reality is the most important thing, along with not letting her mutilate her body because her hormones have gone wonky.
Pushing back on her about being bi would only make her dig her heels in, as would telling her she can't dye her hair to look like a unicorn, so you chose your fight well. Different people handle grief different ways, and hers may be manifesting by her following along with the current thing from her peers. Hopefully, she'll grow out of that.
I just hope your kids realize you have grief of your own at your loss, and to be there for you. A lot of kids tend to forget their parents are actual people with real feelings. So if you ever need an ear, feel free to unload.
Her mom and I weren't together at the time but I too lost my dad at the age of 5... So it's easy for me to understand what she's going through... I just try to be there for her and still be a loving but tough parent kekek... I'm teaching her to he based and question everything which bites me in the ass sometimes but that too is ok... Thank you for the compliment btw... May you and yours have a blessed and merry Christmas... BTW, she's my only child... born 28 days before I turned 47...
Well, seems it's a good day for the race. The HUMAN RACE.
Yes Sir... Cheers fren...
Thank you. Say, does your user name refer to an old style of battleships or to the shape of country & western guitars? Just curious.
Battleship...
Got it, thanks. I own two dreadnought guitars (Martin D-1 and a Gibson J-45) and thought you might be a musician. But the battleship reference works too.
Never learned to play but at one time in my youth I wanted to... Have an awesome day...
8th Circuit, not the Supreme Court. Not every reference to a federal court is SCOTUS.
Thank you, I stand corrected.. Cheers fren...

No argument here... Single dad raising a 14 year old daughter... Cheers fren...
Oh nice. good win.
Absolutely... Cheers fren...

I am very involved in my daughter's life... A lot of parents aren't... Those children need all the protection they can get... Cheers fren...

That would imply that Biden, or any liberal, gives a damn what some judge or court says...unless they can pay-off the judge.
Sadly true... Cheers fren...
SKEPTICAL KID HAS A QUESTION
Ask...
As I said in this thread... I told my daughter absolutely NO... Have a nice day...

This should be stickied!! Awesome
Agreed... Cheers fren...
Did the US Supreme court or a lower court issue this order? Tread title does not align with text in thread?
It was a court of appeals... I apologize for the mix up... Cheers fren...
"A federal appeals court..." That does not mean SCOTUS. Very misleading headline
I stand corrected... Cheers fren...
That's why we fight for the children... Cheers fren...
