He states this like he knows something, with the USA being back bigger and better than ever. He just finished saying our country was once great. He knows!!
Wish he could sometimes tweet support and leave it at that. He always has to remind them they are in his thoughts. St a nice, thoughtful well wish to his followers, without even a mention of those that are nasty, would be a nice gift to his faithful followers. Not everyone wants every message to be bitter sweet. Just not being nasty once isn't letting anyone off the hook. It wouldn't lessen the resolve of anyone. But it would make him seem less embattled. Oh well, just an opinion. I've seen it mentioned here before, but not in a while.
Trumps holiday greetings are famous. Hes been sending these "bitter sweet" holiday wishes for a long time; long before entering public service. And he continues to do so rather than bowing to pressures to fit in, conform and be nice; pressures that are used against all of us; pressures that OG Americans famously rejected and mocked. I'm grateful for the courageous and inspiring example he offers of that OG American spirit of individuality and resistance to conformity.
For some, truthful == "nasty". Some come to appreciate truth speakers despite the discomfort truth speakers cause. Others dont. Example? Socrates.
Fwiw, he's granted this wish that hed "sometimes just tweet support and leave it at that" many times. Apparently those tweets weren't memorable even to those who claim to prefer them.
