Jeez I thought that took effect a few months ago. Oops.
It did. Alabama was the one that delayed recognition of constitutional rights for no valid reason.
When representatives don't even know the laws that they're referencing it makes us all look stupid.
I guess you're one of those people who lose guns in boating accidents.
Well that is good news...open carry still needs a permit. If you can legally buy a gun you can conceal carry.
Georgia is an open carry state, allowing any lawfully owned handgun to be carried openly or concealed in most public spaces and without any permit.
We live in Georgia and my husband carries and I have to say I disagree based on the information he gave me. Are you from Georgia? Where did you get that info from?
I Googled it and see where you got that info from but he still maintains you need a license for open carry...he maintains Google is incorrect. You need a Georgia WCL to open carry.
"Google" isn't your source. Look at the actual laws and see what they say.
https://handgunlaw.us/ is a good source to make it easy to compare states, with direct quotes and references to the statutes themselves.
Constitutional carry means open or concealed without a permit.
Glad to see more states finally getting on board with this.
Yeah...my hubby learned something today...
no open carry has been legal here for some time
I wonder how the simps in ATL are gonna react to this?
Wonder if crime rate will drop further then?
You already have the right to bear arms as conferred upon you by your Creator. So why do you need a law passed to "allow" you to do so? It is still government allowing you when it is not for them to decide, either way.
"Shall not infringe....."
This means there is no authority for government to pass ANY legislation, law, statute, ordinance, or ANYTHING that has to do with bearing arms.
A Constitutional Carry Law is in violation, just as is any other law on the books regarding bearing arms.
Also, don't forget, every Constitutional Carry State still have "exceptions" that are in direct violation to the 2nd Amendment.
