Is this the PB your neighbors didn't want because of their newborn? Methinks his recent Pavlovian experience might dissuade him from chomping on another cord. Shoes are more fun anyway. Good luck with the training.

Yeah, I never would have sought after a pit, always had Rottweilers. My other pooch is a 100lb Shepard Rottweiler mutt. I'm 6'1", 220lbs and always have a my Glock. I don't have children or livestock so I guess I'm the best option for the kid. He's only 50lbs of dumb, we got this.
