The lessons are designed where the parents can pick up right where the child left off withour any preparation. Our little guys is only 6 years old so his attention span sometimes can only go on for 20-25 minutes at a time. When we feel like he needs a break he gets maybe 20-30 minutes of break and or snack time. A lesson typically only takes 15 - 20 minutes. We began this in the 3rd week of October and are arleady half way through 1st grade. He enjoys it so much, that he even asks to do lessons on weekends. He really enjoys listening to and singing music, so to practice writing, we print out lyrics of songs that he loves and he copies the lyrics on the blank dotted lines that we printed below each line.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I will gladly answer the best I can.
Thanks, awesome. 💪
The pace sounds perfect, and I appreciate the breakdown. It sounds very doable, which is great as I tend to fear unknown processes more than I should.
Mines not yet even 4, so I'm just trying to do the leg work and get my head around it all before "zero hour". Soaking in advice from all the "veterans". I've heard nothing but good things from everyone who homeschools. I'm slightly trepidatious, but positively excited.
Thanks again. God Bless.
