Don't know about you, but I'm cozy AF right now and enjoying the show. Trump knows what he's doing, and the people here setting their hair on fire over him is funny. FYI, the bandwagon exit is to the left, don't let the wagon wheel hit you on the way off, but we'll go slow, so you can hop back on because we know you will.
This drama makes me think that the RINOs thought they were going to lose the house. I think they were under the impression the steal would be in and they would blame it all on Trump and move past him for 2024. Otherwise they would have worked on getting the speakership votes before now.
I’m starting to think this whole thing is showing, 1. How little they get done (after 2 days they’ve had only 6 total votes) that honestly could’ve been done with a show of hands. 2. How full of themselves they all are (brotha from Brooklyn…) with the dog and pony show 3. How messed up voting is.
“The record for most rounds of votes, according to the Office of the Historian of the House, is the 34th Congress, when Rep. Nathaniel Prentice Banks of Massachusetts was only elected speaker after 133 rounds and some two months of voting.”
Notice that in-person, same day voting without machines is the only kind of voting good enough for our exalted congress critters. It is too rascist, discriminatory and LGBTQBBQ phobic for us common folks though.
Trump is propping up McCarthy to show that MAGA has more staying power than just Trump.
It's a brilliant move.
I am taking it that way.
McCarthy's only chance is if Dominion Voting Systems steps in...
Oh no! Who took the picture of my car?? 🤣 😂
"Democracy is messy"
And direct, simple democracy on a wide scale, is insanity.

After 6 rounds of voting it just gets stupid. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Patience. ;-)

Exactly. I think this is one time our government is possibly actually working correctly, yet it is getting more backlash than ever.
Gotta get em back room deals going. Round 6 seems like just the beginning
But they have gotten different results. The maga caucus added a couple votes.

Well every with every vote I'd like to see his margin sink.
Quick question, who swlre in the newbies, and if they're not sworn, who is voting?
