Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.

Is McCarthy a white hat in disguise or is he a black hat who will be controlled by the white hats? The reason I ask is because the DemonRats didn’t send a vote his way to get him and keeping the House shut down for the first week of the session when they should have known that there was no way to get their guy in. Do they think that after McCarthy helped the Ds for years that he could not be relied on if given the power of the Speaker?
I believe he is speaker in name only, I think Trump will be pulling the strings. That’s my thought. We watched a movie play out and the drama was pretty darn good.

I am treading lightly with him. I am happy TRUMP says OK. The Dems were clapping for him at first, then during his speech, they stopped. I don't think they see what is coming with him.
Some people are just soulless puppets, who do as their current controller tells them. Its quite possible he is one of them.
Trump endorsement poisoned that well. It was absolutely necessary to make sure he doesn't go down that route, but rather forced to make concessions to the freedom caucus.

I agree. I was looking at all of their faces when all of that was going on. Of course you have the usual culprits, but you don't get to see the others. They were just pretty much stone faced and just sitting there. The camera did not show too much of them.
I dont mean the actual Dem house members, but rather their supporters at large. If any of them did have the smarts to vote, they would get crucified by their supporters.
