When human trafficking ends, if the porn industry goes, then so be it. It's not even any sort of price to pay.
Reality and history, however tell me that as long as men and women desire boobs there will always be a sex trade. If people want to sell their bodies, that's their decision. I agree a lot of the exploitation and coercion needs to be called out and stopped. The things that can be reasoned as legitimately bad can and should be corrected.
But an outright ban will lead us right back here. It'll create another black market and cause more problems than what we have now.
People need to choose your way of life for themselves.
Suppressing porn directly also will never work and is pointless to talk about, as you say. People also attribute problems that society has to porn that make no sense, that still pops up if you don't watch it.
Freedom shall not be infringed in a fashion like that.
What should be done is doing more to keep it away from our youth. Age gates should be strengthened and human trafficking should be stopped.
We can also bring back "modesty" by being more vocal about the virtues of not selling our bodies for cash, though it really is one of the oldest trades.

It's a vice like any other. Too much of anything is bad for ya.
It's not my vice. I like the nicotine a little too much. For some it's booze, for others it's gambling, etc.
Like most vices, even a little probably isn't good for ya. But addiction to your vice - that's a loss of freedom by your own hand.
Now, gimmie a minute while I enjoy this cigar and scotch.
