I wasn't. I think the SCOTUS has made it abundantly clear that they aren't going to overturn elections or even get into state election procedure squabbles. And as it turns out, this case wasn't even even about that, but about having a lower court reconsider a ruling. So it was just a bunch of wishful thinking, pie in the sky ranting. Do we really want one unassailable small group having such power? How many years have we fretted about liberal courts doing that, and we were on the verge of having an untouchable liberal court that would have cemented laws in place for the DS?
Amazing how many people come out of the woodwork after the SC passes this by to tell everyone they knew all along that this case was doomed from the start.
Except that I was never one of the people saying that it was possible for the Brunsons to win. It was obvious to me that it wasn't.
This article was also posted here by someone a few weeks ago, but few people were willing to believe it. I posted it here today because of the comments saying that SCOTUS neglected their duty, committed treason, etc, by denying the case. Yes, SCOTUS has neglected their duty at times (such as by refusing to hear the Texas case), but they made the only decision that they could in this instance.
Brunson's relief in the case was to have over 300 members of both houses and the executive removed from office. News flash, the SCOTUS has ZERO Constitutional authority to removed legislatures for either house or the executive branch! NONE! This case had absolutely no chance from the start because the relief sought was 100% Unconstitutional. If the SCOTUS had that kind of power, Trump would have NEVER survived one term. People can cry and moan over that, but that's the way it is.
So everyone was hyped for absolutely nothing?
Gotcha.

Shit I was. Called it out as bullshit the day the news broke back in early Nov.
If hopium is being pushed by known disinfo PAYtriot sophists, then it's certainly too good to be true.
I didn't say I knew... I certainly doubted it... But I remained hopeful

This thing was a step backwards for waking people up.
