Do you know your vitamin D levels...I have no cartilage in one knee that also has a cyst and I brought my vitamin D levels up from about 25 to 65 and I can't tell you what a difference that made on the pain and many other areas of my life. I take a super K along with it and I believe that is one of the top 3 improvements I have made to my health in the last 5 years. I
I hate to make assumptions. I believe you are replying to me. Ugh I wish the reply notifications would say Re: (the comment I made) or link it. Half the time I go back to the post to see what I said, 🤦🏻♀️I can’t find it. I haven’t been to the primary care in at least five years. I was shocked I went that long. However I avoided medical offices because I hated the mask. I‘ve got an appointment soon and will get everything checked. I take vit d3-K but not regularly like I should. I have every thyroid disease symptom and autoimmune. My gyno told me it was the extra weight giving me the symptoms. IDK it kinda ticked me off because he’s always been very helpful. Maybe he’s feed up with the system, I heard he’s retiring soon but he denied it when I asked. I expected him to retire soon, he’s been very helpful in my female issues and I’ve never been treated with such respect at a gyno. Sadly mainstream doctors test for the basics and don’t go further. Years ago when this started my primary referred me to a compounding pharmacy to get tested (hormones etc) Over five years ago it was $300.00 no insurance filled. No telling the cost now. I’m going to her because I can get in and only for bloodwork and then I’ll find someone more open to natural medicine or I’ll just do as I have done for years, research and find what I need.
Are you taking iodine? Believe me correct D and you will see good things...but maybe you are up to snuff..you just need to know. 50-60 range...
Thyroid issues are tricky...kinda runs in our family. I go for bloodwork twice a year...but I never wore a mask even if it said required. Screw them...
I appreciate any advice like this thanks. I do a lot of research online. Not taking iodine. My D levels have probably dropped. I’m not in the sun like I was just a few years ago. I used to have a shared family pool and I was in the sun almost every day during the summer. Pool got messed up and I don’t go outside much in summer because of the bugs here. The gnats are awful and bite. I just started following someone that posts about chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. I’m going to do a deep dive on her blog. The medical system hasn’t been good here in decades. Different situation but example of NC’s medical system, about five years ago my friend and neighbor gradually had a mental breakdown. She’s my dad’s age, 79, and had been going to psych doctors for a while as well as regular doctors and specialists. She’s a breast cancer survivor and was doing really well physically. I don’t know her mental history, she’s not the type to share very personal stuff and that’s fine. Long story, the medical system here is just broken if you need mental help. I don’t know why when two major hospitals in the country are here, nothing like Mayo and others but Duke & UNC hospital is known around the country. Anywho she moved to DC with her daughter and got the help she needed.
Don't depend on sun for D...you need to have that checked with bloodwork...you will not regret it I ...guarantee. Taking iodine balances your thyroid whether hyper or hypo. Do some research on it.
