I wouldn't buy anything at whole foods.
There’s a reason people I know call it “whole paycheck”
Yeah. I heard that also.
LOL. My brain dead friends thought they were getting the most healthy foods from there w/ high dollars.
Got to love them for their rotten brains.
Amazon owns them so not to be trusted.
Amen.
Never, never eat ANYTHING that comes from China. Every great once in a while, I like to have smoked oysters, but I have to watch the packaging. Many times it will say "Product of China" and it goes back on the store shelf; but when I can find it from South Korea or the Pacific northwest, only then will I buy it.
China cuts too many corners and they aren't particular about what goes into food products.
Same goes for COSCO by the way. Chinese Offshore Shipping Company or something like that. Not to be trusted
I think Cosco is different than Costco
Absolutely. I don't things from them if at all possible.
I don't shop at Whole Foods much, but I do buy organic produce when available. I do it for the perceived reduction in industrial agricultural contaminants such as glyphosate. I believe glyphosate is a problem for me personally, and most likely causes health problems for everyone. Glyphosate is known to kill bacteria. I believe it damages healthy gut bacteria, allowing room for unhealthy bacteria to flourish. Our gut produces a lot of the hormones that help to regulate our mood. If our gut isn't healthy it can cause anxiety, depression, mood swings, etc. Seems like everyone suffers from these types of issues now. Perhaps the widespread use of glyphosate on our food is the reason. Or maybe it's a small part of an overall toxic environment we've created. I do what I can to minimize my exposure to things such as glyphosate, fluoride, etc. I don't go overboard about it, but I feel like reducing my intake of industrialized food products has definitely improved my health.
A couple other points:
Amazon has only owned Whole Foods since 2017, so these stories from 2010 have nothing to do with Amazon. I think Whole Foods had honorable intentions in providing better food to people. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Depends on who you ask. Has it been corrupted since being acquired by Amazon? Probably.
These stories were published in 2 of the most corrupt media outlets, so I tend to question everything about them. If they tell me not to buy organic foods from Whole Foods, my first thought is: Who would benefit from convincing me not to shop at Whole Foods?
I used to shop there too so that's why I know they are expensive. I used to like them a lot.
Then something changed. Their pastries were so loaded with sugar you cannot even take a bite. Their soup so salty you puked. Then they go woke by dimming all the lights so you cannot see. After that, bye.
That's Portland Oregon for you.
Never been in one. I believe the whole "organic" movement is bologna. Like bottled water. Saying something is organic is kind of suggesting that the alternative is not organic which is retarded
Thanks.
I thought it was a great idea before until I was told what organic means. Check out the difference and you will know it is a scam.

For produce, 4 digit code is not GMO but pesticides have likely been used.
If you buy frozen fish, check the packages carefully.
Especially Tilapia and Catfish, but also Shrimp or other seafood.
China is REALLY good about using Red, White & Blue packaging and giving the brand a nice American sounding name, even using America in the title. READ THE ORIGIN. If is says China... put it back. You don't want to eat any fish raised or harvested in, processed by, packaged or even seafood caught near China.
Unless you enjoy ingesting mystery chemicals, toxic metals and whatever diseases were upstream from the fish farms... just say NO.
For me, it's USA or Canadian fish, South American fish, Japanese or Philippines / Indonesia only. China is a PUT IT BACK sign.
Oh thank you so much. I didn't know.
I hardly eat meat or fish any more but I would be careful now.
I recently bought pork loin pack at Costco and was vacuum sealing in small packs. Got to the bottom and the meat pad had Mandarin written on it as the primary language with small Engrish subtitle. China owns Smithfield.
Now that I would not be surprised. We stop eating meat for several years so now we don't buy meat. Smithfield would be the first for the Chinese to buy because they like pork.
Nope, huge waste of money. Food doesn't make people sick. Thoughts do.
