Not to go into the entire story again, but I'm the only person at work who refused to get the jab. The entire company of 50+people got it.
I told them my reasons back then, even got into heated debate. Was pressured. Wasn't invited to the Christmas party due to safety concerns.
Sitting having break today, a group of 4 guys I know fairly well were talking about the side effects they've been hearing about from their drs, and that they won't be taking anything else.
I just listened to them. I didn't speak up even though I wanted to say I told you so. They brought up people who didn't take it having zero issues. I think they expected me to say something at that point, but I let my silence speak for itself .
At one point one guy whispered, fearing being heard by the other people in the cafe I guess, "You really have to wonder if where there's smoke there's fire at this point"
It is indeed happening. I think it's quietly progressing faster than we think.
Should have candidly said "so how was the Christmas party?".
Awesome response! 😲😍
I also was the only holdout in an office of 20 people who I've worked with for 25 years.
We were always a tight group having survived several acquisitions and restructurings.
I've been treated like a leper, repeatedly warned about not wearing my muzzle and even threatened by HR with disciplinary action since I didn't get the required injections.
Three of my coworkers retired last year. I wasn't invited to any of their retirement parties, no Christmas get-together, no cook outs.... nuffin.
I'm so sorry for you. I've been treated in my workplace this way, though it's been far less noticeable since we're a larger org. I have siblings and their spouses who have refused to come see my unjabbed wife and I for 3 years, who refuse to allow us to visit them, and who have resorted to simply not communicating with us any longer. It is small comfort, but I have fallen back on a paraphrase of a famous Maya Angelou quote very often over the past 3 years:. "When people show you who they really are, believe them."
Wow! Your situation is even more sad and heart breaking. 😢
I hope in time your family can realize how they were duped and come back to you.
May God Bless you and your wife with continued strength and resolve. .
TY for your very kind words...and I can confirm that God has indeed blessed us and been good to us, and has helped us get through numerous challenges and threats to our livelihood for two years now. God bless you and yours!
You should get a yellow Gadsden Flag and hang it on your wall.
Rather than "Don't Tread On Me," it should say, "Don't Shed On Me."
Good, I wouldn't wanna hang w (those) kind of ppl off the clock anyway.
And in spite of that, you lived!
On the flip side, they don't get to hang out with US. 🤗

That is normally my attitude. However, I was invited this past Christmas with nary a word being said.
I feel when I said I may skip because I'm afraid of getting sick, they got the message.
Well played.
This ^^^😂
