I don't disagree with you completely, but you are a bit callous. The idea that the "average" human is pursuing a BMW is laughable. The vast, vast, vast majority are consumed trying to keep their head above water, make rent/mortgage payments and keep food on the table. It really isn't their fault they aren't paying attention to this, and that is by design. Nobody deserves this. We are all victims, and we need to start showing more compassion to those less fortunate, that haven't the advantages, head start or just plain luck that we are fortunate enough to enjoy. There may be a few BMW worshipers out there, but they are a tiny minority.
