Yeah, there’s a lot happening right now, but the movie still sucks.
I know my problems are not a big deal, but two years ago I was able to go for a trip to Hawaii for a month, my airline ticket was under $400. Yesterday I had to pay $849. Joe Biden’s economy.
I know people who can’t afford a car at the moment and are walking miles to work while on disability. And likely facing very expensive surgery on top of everything.
Being able to afford a vacation at all is quite the blessing right now.
I do pet sitting on the side so I can afford to go there. Also, it’s not a vacation. I’m housesitting for my family. While they’re gone I’ll be taken care of 10 cats and a multi million dollar property. It’s a big responsibility,
Yes, it’s a blessing, and I can’t wait to get there. However, I’ll be working, and if I didn’t have family there, I would be able to go. If it wasn’t for my pet sitting gig, I wouldn’t be able to afford to do anything either.
The fact of the matter is this. $849 to fly to Kauai, is ridiculous. Put the blame where it should lay, not on me, but on Biden.
How true, I know some people will "always" have trouble or health issues, but in general it shouldn't be the way it is today. At least not after the 4 years of Trump's administration and the 8 years (Obama) before that was horrendous.
Maybe I'll be voted off the island but I'm not down with the "watching a movie" crowd. Bread and circuses are what got us into this mess. We need to keep calling out the lies, boosting the people fighting for us, and be dropping red pills everywhere we go. That is the way out, not waiting for some critical mass to be reached and the movie to end.
Well, the movie sucks
It's been hard on everyone, harder on some, and I feel for those people. But huge things are happening, and I can see it.

Perhaps a little perspective?

The best is yet to come
It wasn't Putin's price hike?
I think 2022 was the worst year for many... health wise, money wise, gas wise, simply horrible.
Word!
