EVs seem to have a cult following that lives in a world of unicorns and rainbows, ignoring that which challenges the EV narrative.
A lot of groups and fans like to ignore information that doesn’t jive with or confirm their presuppositions and opinions on their chosen interest or ideology.
Not particularly unique to EV owners/enthusiasts.

Please give me an example of a modern EV with more than a 40 kWh battery pack, that needed to change the pack outside of guarantee?
It’s as unheard of as a new IcE car would need an engine swap, and as costly.
If you need to replace a broken battery, you change the few cells that are damaged, you’ll never need to change the entire battery pack.
The Chevy Volt myth is based on an insurance claim on a discontinued battery technology, and has no root in reality.
