Are there any supplements anyone else is familiar with that I can take besides this? My low is to low and my high is to high, according to them. I’ve looked at my daily foods and can hardly find anything that has cholesterol in it, other than milk. Could I lose 5-8 lbs, sure..would that make a difference?

(Disclaimer: this is a free consult from a random person on the internet who does not know you, has never examined you, and has never seen your medical record. It's worth exactly what you paid for it. If you want real advice, talk to your real doctor.)
Myopathy with statins is very common. It is the dose-limiting adverse effect. If you're having pain, 1) it's not unusual, 2) there are things your doc can do for you.
First, remember why you were prescribed the statin in the first place. Statins reduce your risk of having heart attacks and strokes. We put people on statins who, because of their various risk factors, have a real risk of having an event in the next 10 years. That's what the ASCVD score is. If you're unfamiliar, look it up (courtesy of the American College of Cardiology here), plug in your numbers, so you know what you're dealing with. That's what you're trying to lower. That's why we ask you to shell out for expensive statins.
Now, I promised there were things you can do other than suffer with pain.
and 5) If you're still looking for a savior in a supplement...
If you're the kind who wants to see for yourself, and wouldn't mind looking at guidelines written to function as sleep aids for sufferers of insomnia, these are the two main ones in the US. The Europeans have a 2019 guideline which aligns closely with these if you're across the pond and want to search those up.
2018 ACC/AHA (cardiologists) guidelines: https://doi.org/10.1161/CIR.0000000000000625
2017 AACE (endocrinologists) guidelines: https://doi.org/10.4158/EP171764.APPGL

Typed in my numbers and it gave me a 3.4%(Low) for ASCVD. Only recommendation was take blood pressure medication. Which I’m on. I’ve been “high normal” since I was a teenager. And only recently been on a pressure pill, well a few yrs now. And since then my pressure has been dead on. I mentioned earlier about my thyroid. Seven yrs ago I had to get it nuked because I went into hyperthyroidism. Since then my numbers kinda went haywire. But overall all has been well until this statin…which I called the doctor this morning and she said get off asap. She mentioned fish oil tablets and clean up the diet. Which to be honest I need to. Looking at me you would think, in shape, toned/muscular ….but it’s not how I feel. With my body I’ve always kinda just ate what I wanted cause I wasn’t overweight. With my job being very physical, construction, and I used to work out everyday on top of that. I just started with a lot of joint pain. So I had to cut back on the working out. Work was bad enough. In the meantime I let my diet go because feel good food and drink made me feel good! But she is catching up with me. That’s been about two years. Election crap started it. So yea I need to clean that up again. Could be my main problem.
So ... you are on them, and yet the only recommendation is to ... get on them?
If you eat a diet that pushes up blood pressure, then using a drug that lowers blood pressure will sort of "even it all out" to "normal."
But wouldn't a BETTER solution be to STOP eating a diet that pushes it up in the first place? If you did, then you could get OFF the drug that artificially lowers it.
And ... "doctors" have destroyed your thyroid, rather than figure out how to SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
This is typical of that industry.
FINALLY! A doctor who might have some common sense!
Yes, we know. You have MANY reasons to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ... yet you refuse.
Why?
If you figure THAT out, maybe you can solve your health problems (for the most part -- a missing thyroid will always be a problem).
It IS your main problem.
It was NEVER cholesterol that was the problem. It was ALWAYS sugar.
There was FRAUD decades ago to make people think otherwise.

If you can find one worth a damn, meaning they have actually RESEARCHED the topic ON THEIR OWN, and are not simply parroting what others told them, which is what 99% of "doctors" do.
Good luck with that!
Yeah, and THAT should be Clue #1 that something is VERY WRONG with these drugs. But doctors can't see the nose on their face.
Again, the fact that it is COMMON should be a RED FLAG.
But doctors just do what they are told to do, and they push drugs like they are told to do.
After all, that's where the money is.
Research and THINKING and telling patients how to be HEALTHY ... well that won't make the payment on the new Mercedes, will it?
Good point. The patient was prescribed the statin in the first place for ONE reason and ONE reason ONLY: The doctor NEVER did ANY research of his own, and he believes EVERYTHING the Big Pharma marketing brochure ... and everything that the pretty Big Pharma Rep with the nice tits ... has to say.
FALSE.

Dr. Diamond explains this much better than I could -- besides which, you would not believe me because there is no "Dr." in my handle.
Who is this "we?" Are you "one of those" who won't read the research, too?
Yes, they are quacks. The do NOT discuss the actual research. They are BIASED, and they are PAID to push drugs.
Look at their conflicts of interest.
No, that is only partly why. While it is true that "you all" THINK you are knowledgable because OTHER PEOPLE TELL YOU WHAT TO THINK ... and thanks for verifying that, by the way ... you do NOT DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
Therefore, you have no idea what you are REALLY selling.
And the other part of that is YOU ARE SELLING DRUGS ... TO MAKE A LIVING.
Don't play that down.
Yeah, but you will NOT say to stop taking the thing that CAUSES the pain, will you?
Right. You don't want to give up the cash cow ... and you don't care how much harm you do on the way to the Porsche dealership.
FALSE.
Ah, yes! Proving that you ARE a real life doctor, and you don't just play one on the internet.
"SELL MORE DRUGS! MOAR, MOAR, MOAR!"
Why would you want to REDUCE the thing (LDL) that is FIXING A PROBLEM?
If it quacks like a duck ...
Of course ...
Now, THAT is good advice!
Problem is, YOU have no clue how to do that.
The Mediterranean Diet was pushed by Ancel Keys, who is the CON MAN of the 20th Century, who also pushed the "7 Countries Study" claiming that saturated fat caused heart disease. He was the START of this entire health pandemic of the past 70 years.
He is responsible, more than any other single person, for so many people today being fat and unhealthy. ANYTHING he pushed should be suspect on its face.
He was a Rockefeller man, a con man (same thing), and pushed by the media in the 1950's, when there were only 3 networks on this "new television thing."
The diet includes a lot of TRASH food. In fact, it is MOSTLY trash food.
The fact that you would push this garbage, however, does not suprise me in the least.
It only shows that you have done NO RESEARCH ON YOUR OWN ... and you follow what OTHER PEOPLE tell you (as long as they have the proper "credentials," of course) -- which is my point about 99% of doctors today.
It has become a pathetic industry. Sad.
Doctors get their horrible advice from dieticians, who have been indoctrinated in such a way that they know NOTHING TRUTHFUL about nutrition. NOTHING.
Generally good advise, but you cannot have a "nutritionally complete" diet if you are eating a lot of trash food -- which you advocate.
Neither does the Mediterranean Diet, but that doesn't stop you from recommending it.
So do a lot of Big Pharma drugs (including Lipator), but that does not stop you from selling those drugs.
And THAT should be ANOTHER CLUE that high LDL is NOT a cause of heart attacks and strokes.
Exactly.
Your advice is worth nothing.
Here is a good lecture on why you and most other doctors are wrong about your nutrition (and some drug) advice:

BTW ...
Do you believe in vaccines and virus transmission?
Just curious how deep the indoctrination goes.
