Because they cannot fathom a person not caring what other people think of him, as long as he achieves a goal that is so much larger than self. They cannot understand anyone putting themselves in harm's way for the greater good.
I remember Krauthammer from the days I was still watching FOX. He was talking about being at a dinner at the WH with Reagan, and he asked a very pointed question about something serious, I can't remember what. Reagan started to act a little flakey and talk about the crown moulding or something. Krauthammer either mentioned or I was thinking, "he'd rather look like a doddering old man to a nationally syndicated reporter and deflect, as long as he gets what he wants." Which in that case was to successfully avoid answering the question. Given that I trusted Reagan I assumed it was information he didn't think Krauthammer could be trusted with (who knows anymore). I was thinking at the time that only a man who believes in and loves God and can withstand that short term humiliation and forego reward, even if it has to come in heaven.
I have long believed that Trump's carnival barker act honed during the "Your Fired!" years is part of an act and part of the plan. He was always blunt for sure. But not always as exaggerated or cartoonish. He has turned politics into a verbal WWE match at least for the short run. I think this persona was needed as the first jolt to awaken the masses. We needed to be shocked out of our collective stupor. Obviously, it didn't work on everyone LOL. But seriously, look at all he has accomplished. He has decimated fake news. Absolutely demolished in less than a decade. Newt Gingrich was trying to humiliate, but his comments although direct, didn't garner the same attention. I recall years ago hearing that an advertising jingle can be annoying and very effective, as long as it is memorable. Even people who thought it was outrageous and obnoxious for Trump to point to CNN or individual reporters and call them "Fake News!" couldn't help but remember that he said it. Mission accomplished. A huge swath of them not only believe it now, they KNOW it to be true. Same with "Crooked Hillary" and "Low Energy" Jeb, et. al.
The once revered FBI is in shambles. Because RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA! and "Witch Hunt!" That one took awhile. Politicians were never revered, but both sides of the aisle pretty much accept that they are all crooks.
Trump is one of the most interesting public figures of all time to me. I don't think anyone but the people closest to him really know him.
Although we all know that Trump IS NOT Jesus, he does tend to act as a Sacrificial Lamb when the times call for it. He said he would take slings and arrows for us and he does. He knows that not only will we go down with the world if we/he fail, his family and grandchildren will be counted among us. And he wants to keep his legacy and a free world as bad as we do. He is one tough determined man. God bless him.
Trump is extremely intelligent, and he was military trained. He has a tactical mindset, and understands enough psychology to use it as a weapon.
I always had this theory, based on nothing but a gut feeling, that his marriage to Melania and his running of Model pageants was the exact same thing as his Mafia Casino FBI sting from the 80s.
That is, it was all part of honeypotting and trapping and intel gathering of the web of Satanic pedo corruption.
They all loved him when they thought he was on-side. But with the Q movement strongly suggesting the dismantling of the Epstein/Adrenochrome/Human Trafficking networks, I believe that all his shadier public dealings were just a front for trying to catch them in the act.
Trump has written so many books you can get a real feel for him if you read them.
The 2016 campaign went hand in hand w "Art of the Deal" even with Holiday Inn references!
I don't think Trump wrote his own books. But he probably dictated a lot of it.
his books read like he's taking directly to you.
if we aren't counting ghostwriters, almost nobody important has written anything
Despite all of the divisiveness now, I believe President Trump will ultimately go down as the greatest leader in human history.
100% agree. But it depends who is writing the history books, just like it depends on who is counting the votes.
I think the same
I think often of how hard this phase must be for a man of his personality. Some of it may be an act but he does seem to adore winning. Living out this interim time of seeming defeat can't be easy for him.
I think we get glimpses of his true heart, it's up to us to notice them in the midst of all the noise. Kari Lake tweeted this clip yesterday. https://twitter.com/KariLake/status/1627029690816008192? I love what he says about her son.
I agree and have thought the same about his persona. Really, I think he's a softy at heart but projects strong, brash, blunt. Now, if you attack him or his family, all bets are off. He needed to project a strong spine to be what Americans want and need. People really love him for that. #AmericaFirst.
Leftists dont understand themselves of basic reality.
Too many boundary holes in thier mind. They're barely sane, and they think they can remake reality without any psychological growth.
They dont care about bettering themselves or achievement and have a high degree of 'me me me' entitlement.
Like a psychotic, whiny child.
I started paying closer attention to Trump after seeing that during COVID he was literally the ONLY person in the entire federal govt that was talking any sense, and they raked him over the coals for it. I binge watched a few seasons of The Apprentice just to observe how he runs business, and at some point it hit me that the show was like a covert presidential campaign. It's like the purpose of that show was to demonstrate that he is a tough but fair leader and that he takes no shit from anyone and won't hesitate to fry someone who deserves it.
He knew he would lose cabal support as soon as he announced his candidacy, so he milked them for a few years to build celebrity status until he was too big to simply cancel.
At this point, I think this is a fill in the blank. They will never understand ANYTHING as far I'm concerned. If they can't understand that there are 2 genders, I'll be forever skeptical of this bunch understanding anything.
But they just hated those mean tweets.
There are many people on the right who also don’t understand Trump. Media highlighted his less attractive moments. Many nice normal folks didn’t pay enough attention to what he was doing, didn’t really know how much he accomplished, only heard a few sound bites. I think we sometimes forget that very few people have the time to do what we do, research, watch his full speeches, follow his activities while President. I had to beg my extended family to watch that amazing Mount Rushmore speech he did. Unless you were really following him, nobody knew what he was up to because mainstream and some right wing media did not report it.
Sad.
Side note, I have wondered if Charles Krauthammer would have changed from a never Trumper if he had lived to see all this.
