The idea that everybody dies a painful death is really not true. There are many people that die in their sleep, and a lot of people who are in hospice end up being drugged up with morphine, to the extent that they have no idea what’s happening.
Yes, many people will die painful deaths, however, the rapture is not something that is some type of extreme death cult. God’s word says he will come in the twinkling of an eye, and the church will be raptured. I can’t imagine an event like that needing to be painful. It’s supposed to be a glorious time! Christ, returning from his church before his second coming.
I was just talking to my mom about that the other day. We could be in the generation that goes in the rapture. How exciting is that! I’m definitely not going to dooom over the rapture. But you do you. God bless you and have a great night.
"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
One of the clearest passages of Scripture on the Rapture, and it quite definitely states that dead Christians rise first, then the ones who are alive get transported to heaven. This occurs right before the Tribulation.
Enoch and Elijah were also caught up into heaven without dying, they served as a picture of what the Rapture will be like.
So why can't we count that the church has been removed some years ago, so we're closer to the happy ending
Because I’m still here.
Gotta croak first b4 your soul ascends no matter where we are in God's timeline. Past, present, or future.
The notion your body doesn't have to die or we don't endure painful deaths before ascension is worthy of argument.
IMO the "beam me up Scotty!" stereotypical depiction of rapture is wishful thinking.

I just agree but that’s OK. God bless you. Have a great night.
