No, you just don't understand. Just because the changes are really small now, and far below all of the predictions of the models that 97% of all scientists agree on, doesn't mean it won't be terrible in the future. We must work now to forestall our inevitable Future Doom(TM).
Anyone who isn't willing to be scared to death of that future is trying to destroy the world and take everyone else with them. Such people must be destroyed for The Greater Good(TM).
