He was a Conservative and anti-vax. He died of complications of diabetes.
Thank you for the info, I didn't see any of that in the article and haven't had a chance to look more. Only thing in the article was the quote, "most unexpected loss." Also trying to find out if he's related to Jim.

Thats a horrible disease. I knew a guy that was diabetic in his late teens, and he found out by going into a coma. :(
That’s generally how people discover they have “become” a Type 1 diabetic. My child experienced flu like symptoms that got progressively worse until they were nearly gone and virtually catatonic.
Trip to the ER diagnosed them in a few minutes, full recovery in about 30 minutes. Lifetime of treatment required.

Thank you, (again), for the sauce. How unfortunate. My mom had diabetes, among other things, and she lived to her 80's. Guess hers was milder, she was lucky.
Still sad to see us losing all these people, naturally or otherwise!
My Dad was a very 'brittle' diabetic but managed to live to 76.
God bless them both for beating the odds! They sure were a hardy generation, weren't they.

I admit, I'm getting a little nervous being almost 64. I'm hoping running my ass off in restaurants for over 40 years kept me in somewhat decent shape! 😄
