Okay. I'm not here to start an argument and neither are you. We are here to help save our world and help out our fellow man. It doesn't matter who they are, Christians or JEWS. We are all God's children. So please don't waste your breath because you're barking up the WRONG tree. Some people are simply too afraid to give because they FALL for everything others say. This is a TRUE organization and I'm not about to ask who all they help as long as they are helped, so please stop asking me. God bless and I pray you have a great week.
Your response with an emphasis on JEWS insinuates that I am a Jew hater. This is simply not true. I apologize for touching a nerve here.
I just question any organization that uses the psychological techniques they use to elicit donation especially in the quantity and at the cost they do. I feel the same way about St Judes, who I long donated to, and the animal protection organizations. I also question any organization that proclaims itself as a Fellowship of Christians and Jews yet does nothing to help one of those groups.
I didnt attack this organization as your reply to me seems to indicate, I only asked that you be careful. I understand you have a large sense of empathy towards your fellow humans and I commend this. I do as well. But I have become skeptical of everything, and in these times, with very good reason. Am I wrong to question?
Anyway it was not my intent to upset you. For that I am sorry.
You are quite allright. Where else would you find an organization that I know twice a year has called me on a 'phone' prayer list to help pray for anything I wish to pray for. Also they send me updates on where my money is being spent. I also trust Mike Huckabee's judgement as I didn't know he also gave until about a year after I joined. Also Gordon Robertson son of Pat Robertson gives too and my husband gives to CBN 700 Club. We also give to our church weekly with our tithes and if there is any special needs such as a homeless family that came into our church one Sunday, we gave to them too. I myself used to give to St. Judes along with several other orgs. but, I have felt blessed to be able to give to the starving elderly with International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. They are worse off than any of the others I can choose from. God bless.
Local citizens in our area have started food pantries out front of their homes. No one has dared to shut them down yet.
I even gave my Mom's Escape away and paid the first six months insurance for a wonderful woman that just had a streak of bad luck. She has helped others before and it felt at first scary, but then it felt and feels really good inside. I get warm fuzzies when I remember her happy tears. I think my Mom would be happy too.
God bless you and your neighbors. That is such a good idea. It can't work where I live as I live in the country. But if someone came to me hungry or in need of warmth and compassion, I would not turn them away. I'd say you live in a very caring area. And giving your mother's car away and providing the first 6 months insurance to help a lady down on her luck is a very loving caring and decent thing to do. God will bless you greatly my friend. There are a lot of caring people here on GAW. Spread the love around.
This isnt an organization I have ever researched because my charity has gone elsewhere, but if you have done your due diligence that is all that I asked from you. You are a good person Mary, honest and genuine. I can easily see this from your posts.
And if I have become jaded I will beg Jesus Christ for forgiveness and to help me regain the trust I have lost in my fellow man. It will be a difficult road. The geopolitical events of the last 22 years have forced me into a hardened cynicism.
I understand. Sometimes it is hard to put your trust into something once you realize your money has been squandered. But I trust and believe highly in IFCJ just like we do with Operation Smile on CBN. My husband wants to give to James Robertson's network once we free up some money. His org digs Water Wells and it's either a cow or a goat they give to families in needy nations. Start out by giving the minimum amount and then get their monthly newsletters. Find out all you can online about their organization and then read about any celebrities (like I said Mike Huckabee who I call a celebrity) that you know give to that organization. IFCJ sends me a newsletter each month and shows me where my money goes. I give to Isaiah 58 which are the war torn Jews from WWII that live in Ukraine. I told my husband that at their age in life, they should not have to worry for want of food, medicine or heat. I pictured my grandmother suffering in her last years if this had been her, and I knew that was what God wanted me to do. I hope this helps you understand. God bless you.
