You mentioned “suicide weekend,” but I think it’ll crescendo like in that movie, Goodfellas. After the heist of a lifetime, they started killing each other because they were afraid of “loose lips.” People in their crew were making mistakes by purchasing expensive items; drawing unwanted attention.
There’s no honor amongst thieves. While I’m certain that people are being killed-off in order to coverup their crimes, I’m waiting for that “Layla” moment, and bodies start showing up everywhere.

So what does it mean when they no longer have the boot and are back at work? Charges dropped?
I always felt it meant 'taped confession complete' when the boot came off.
More than one way to 'mark them' to keep them from fleeing justice when the time comes.
