Maybe my dad was on to something by refusing to pay ANY bill online until the day the shot killed him at 73 yrs old.
Sorry to hear that... what a tragic loss.
Thank you fren!
I pay all my in-store purchase with cash. Also pay with cash to fill my car. Sme local businesses (like my car mechanic shop) give a discount for using cash. So I withdraw some cash every week from an ATM. It's become a habit now.
Same. Keeps me on budget and a screw you to the (((bankers)))
Yeah, when you literally count your change, it's brings reality into play.
I use CC that give cash back for our bills... Cash would actually cost more. Getting 2% back on Utilities 3%-5% On Groceries. Rent (Our biggest bill) is cash.
Sounds like a good plan. The more we can use cash, the more we put off the digital currency.
If they can afford to give you money back, it's because they're making more than that from the merchants. Wise merchants discount for cash payers.
I pay as many bills as possible in person. The electric and water places won't take plastic at all. They will take checks and cash.
I use a credit union and use that to pay bills by mail. Most of our income is forced direct deposit, so there has to be a bank or credit union. Also, some of our bills are forced debit or credit card. I chose debit and don't charge a dime. The credit union is much better, as it's owned by us depositors. A bank wouldn't loan me a few thousand to replace the roof on my house years ago. I recently need to do a major remodel, and the credit union gave us all the money we need just on our signature with zero collateral.
There are some places, such as the drug store, that refuse cash, so I use a debit card there so it comes straight out of the checking account.
I will soon be completely debt free, including the car and house.
I use cash or check to pay my debts in person, or a debit card where they refuse cash.
Got rid of all credit cards three years ago at the start of the plandemic. Paid off every debt I had then from my emergency fund and still have some left over for emergencies. Land, home, vehicles have been paid off for over a decade.
I am self sufficient as well as the property. Grow my own food, including meat, dairy, fruits, grains, etc., etc.
Yeah... but muh credit card...
No one needs a credit card. A debit card can do everything and doesn't rack up debt.
I was being sarcastic.
I know. I saw the "muh" and assumed as much.
I make a few K a year from CC, they make zero from me.
Fiat legal system own the cash dollar also
I get my income by mail and use checks for utilities. I get my bank statements by mail and the bank charges me $5 a month for this. I use cash a lot but now I'm hording it just in case.
