Is especially egregious because this site remains a repository for so many linked sources of truth
A functioning search would be more powerful than any of the non Google search engines.
Can anybody weigh in on the actual difficulty of making search easy and effective on this site?
My tin foil brains sometimes believes that it's kept limited on purpose to limit our access to truth.
What could be more important than archiving and organizing all the digging that anons do on the daily?
I would volunteer to do tagging of posts to help make them findable. I am a Librarian and this site drives me nuts. But then most of the internet does.

Does this search the text of posts or only titles?
It'll hit on the text in the post, and also comments.
Thank you that is good. That is why people complain about the search on this site, it only pulls from titles. We all know how bad 50% of the titles are, nothing of use could ever be pulled from them later.

Use yandex. It indexes GAW quite nicely.
