More of the verse, for context… in case anyone actually thinks nonviolent Jesus (who can call down legions of angels, and rebuked his disciple for cutting off a servants ear) promoted using weapons…
“And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: And he was numbered with the transgressors.’
You beat me to it brother. This verse is often very miss used. It also says after that the disciples said Lord wr have 2 and Jesus says that is enough.
Jesus' statement was to show all involved that He knew what was about to happen and display that the disciples were thinking it was going to go down differently. Peter cutting off Malcus' ear is peak irony. The "Word of God" putting an end to violence and healing the receiving end of communication of an enemy shows His mercy and grace. Taking anyone's statements out of context can be halirious but a word of caution and digging is advised frens.
This could literally mean buy a sword to take up arms. I carry almost always. In case God decides to use me to protect another.
However, I would caution against advocating that this is it's meaning. For the weapon of a Christian is the Word of God. The biggest mistake we can make is misrepresenting the Word of God.
Luke 22:35
And He said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing."
Luke 22:38
They said, "Lord, look, Here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough."
Luke 22:50
But Jesus answered and said "Stop! No more of this." And He touched his ear and healed him.
If violence was what Jesus was advocating, why heal the servant of the high priest? In verse 35 Jesus is reminding them that the Holy Spirit provides everything we need.
Should you feel that you should buy guns, then do so. But to imply that this verse means go get a gun for war.... I do not wish to see good folk misrepresent God's Word because they do not understand fully.
Romans 12:19-21
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head

Omg I love that show. I love Peter. That whole show is awesome. Are u caught up yet. The finale for season 3 was seriously my favorite finale ever. The whole show is awesome though
I have like 3 episodes left in season 2. I've been binging for days.
As to your question... it is funny you ask, I have been toying the idea of podcasting and putting myself back out there. It's time! Sooooo, I'd be honored to join you on a podcast.
Season 2 was awesome as well. I think the campfire episode was my favorite but they were all so good. The part in that episode, I forget the name of it, where they are all bickering and Jesus just walks by so so tired and the look and feeling they have, oh it so so good. Jesus is so awesome. I'm jumping for joy just thinking about him.
Wow that is funny. God has funny ways of working lol. Any idea for what u want ur podcast to be. An yay I'm happy to hear. Will write your name down and be in touch in future. Thanks for this. I can feel the holy spirit in this Convo. We love you Jesus ♥️🙏😁
The whole thing is very well done. It's hard to claim a favorite. I guess it just depends on what God's doing personally to make it a current favorite. Kinda like picking a favorite book of the Bible.
Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
I think we know they only get salvation if they want it.

Yup, two was enough. Much to the chagrin of gun collectors everywhere… storing up treasure and all that…

I want to reserve as a gold scene that part where he throws down the basket of fish and loaves...
That is a wonderful scene to be sure fren.
My favorite is when He names John and James the sons of thunder. A humbling lesson there.

Oh my, a name and I see your face. Bless you brother!
Doesn’t mean go buy weapons and be ready to kill. The Word of God, is the sword.
Amen.
**AMEN. **
Yes, but necessary.
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."
Matthew 10:34
