No. There is no "over the top" weather. Everything is still normal. Storms happen. They always have.
The Great Hurricane of 1780, also known as the Great Hurricane of the Antilles, struck the Caribbean in October 1780. It is still considered the deadliest Atlantic hurricane on record, with estimates of 20,000 to 22,000 fatalities. The hurricane caused widespread, near-total devastation across the Lesser Antilles, particularly on the islands of Martinique, St. Eustatius, and Barbados.
The Tri-State Tornado, which occurred on March 18, 1925, remains one of the most devastating tornadoes in U.S. history. It traveled across parts of Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, covering around 219 miles in just under 3.5 hours. The tornado resulted in approximately 695 fatalities and more than 2,000 injuries, making it the deadliest tornado in U.S. history.
Everyone calm down. And seek shelter when told to.
I'm in eastern NC, and our weather is nothing I haven't seen before. It's windy, warm, and rainy today. I wouldn't be surprised if we had some violent weather. It's that time of year. I remember the same setup on March 17, 1965 when a bad tornado came through my neighborhood, turning over airplanes at the airport and tossing mobile homes into the treetops.
As warm as it is today, it still might snow in a week or two. That's just the way it is.
I'm in NJ, and Saturday night we had an actual tornado warning, not watch. The wind was extremely strong, it was a fast moving storm, and blew out over the ocean pretty quickly. We've lived in the Midwest previously so took the warning seriously.
I like Clif High's explanation for the drastic weather better. Clif isn't going for the polar vortex is breaking apart explanation.
Clif is saying were are seeing the weird weather because we are at the beginning of the grand solar minimum (mini-iceage). I memory serves me right, he was saying we'll see about twenty years of this affect. Summers (the growing season) will get shorter, and the winter will lengthen.
I've noticed weird weather my whole life. We comment on it every year, no matter what it is. Somehow we always get taken off guard when we get a freak snowstorm in early June after getting used to 80 degree weather.
Phoenix, Arizona. I've lived here for 30+ years and have never seen a winter like this one. We've had horrid bad weather once or twice per week (bizarre freaky storms, lightning, freezing cold, pouring rain, hurricane-like gusting winds) for past 6 weeks. Before that, all winter was ridiculously cold, for us; bleak, cloudy, frequent rainstorms and lots of heavy winds. I know we are nothing like up north, but we live for the normally beautiful winters here!! Just praying for a cooler than normal summer, too.

He is a bit over the top for me.

Also it's from Feb. 14, over a month ago.

Hailstorm this week. Never had a hailstorm in the 27 years I've lived here.

Ohio here also crazy windy..all dead ash trees on the ground now
Too much strong winds. Heavy rains with tornadoes possible. Other than that, typical.
I chalked it up to the chemtrails
