But the high BP? . Check out Dr KenDBerry and see what he has to say. I'm old and eat tons of salt and my bp is excellent. So IDK.
I also drink lots of milk. Water and milk is all I drink.
I never liked milk that much, and everything I eat seems to have too much salt. There are very few things I actually add salt to. Grits and scrambled eggs are the main ones.
My doctor once told me to cut out everything in my diet that's white. That also includes salt as much as possible.
Need that salt!! and lots of it. Redmond salt is the best. And milk? NO way.
Salt makes blood pressure go up, and mine is a bit high.
I haven't drunk milk since I was in high school. But I do love ice cream. I just try to eat it rarely because of the sugar.

Some research I recall reading indicated that low sodium ALSO makes blood pressure go up.
The original backing for the claim that sodium causes high blood pressure was tenuous at best, anyway.
I just don't add much salt, but I'm not religious about it. There are more important things to worry about nowadays.
Use pink salt
I have some in my stockpile, but I'm not sure that would help things. :)
