Centralized = bad
Even if it is backed by gold or Texas.
Brazil use it already, u can still buy BTC… happy if it go up to $60k… but I can’t live with if it drop to $20k … gold/silver even if go slow but at least I could expect it won’t drop more than 10% (of current price)
Can still buy some physical but can’t just store it at home and live in fear and not leave home, but prefer most digital so no storage and annual fees… it is ok to pay some percentage when sold.
Wyoming and a few other states have their own gold backed currency. You can get a gold leaf dollar which by cost seems to be equivalent to about $4 US fiat dollars. I’m holding out on buying until my state does the same.
Yes, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and I think New Hampshire. Possibly others.
The Texas Bullion Depository

Can buy now? Or have to wait til 9/23/23?
I check those do IRA and required lots of different fees.
This one still the same. The cost to store your metals at the Texas Bullion Depository varies based on the total value of the metals stored in your account, multiplied by an annual storage rate for that value bracket. Please review our Pricing link under the “Account Information” tab on the homepage.
If put money in bank received interest, should that be same as gold? Why extra fees as gold/silver already spread fees, some place even charge tax to buy it.
Will wait for digital back one.
Utah has a gold-backed legal tender that is physical but can also be represented in digital form. They're called Utah Goldbacks. They're also minted for Wyoming, Nevada, and some other states. You can use them to pay digitally or physically, similar to how cash and bank accounts are used today.
